Hong Kong Airport is a major international hub serving millions of passengers annually. The airport's website serves as a primary point of contact for passengers seeking flight information, airport services, transportation options, and other essential travel-related details.
In 2018, Hong Kong Airport recognized the need to revamp its website to improve the UX, enhance accessibility, and provide a modern and engaging online presence. The goal was to create a seamless and informative platform that would cater to the diverse needs of international travelers.
As UX/UI designer for the HKIA website revamp, I spearheaded a complete overhaul of the user experience, ensuring the platform met the diverse needs of both travel-related and business users. Creating the future-ready website provides a dynamic source of information and services, empowering HKIA to create a world-class "airport city" experience.
IA and Navigation: Redesigning the website's information architecture to ensure intuitive navigation and easy access to essential information.
Mobile-First Design: Prioritizing a mobile-first approach to ensure a seamless and consistent experience across all devices.
Real-Time Integration: Integrating real-time data feeds for flight updates, parking availability, and other critical services.
Accessibility Compliance: Ensuring the website met accessibility standards to provide an inclusive experience for all users.
